'Those who can't... teach' ...
(If you are new to this expression, it means that those who are unsuccessful in their field have no alternative but to become teachers so as to be able to earn a living) - Well that's what 'they' say...
However, we all know or have heard of extremely successful people who have spent or are spending time teaching, transmitting their knowledge to others. As a matter of fact MOST successful people do so, many considering that sharing knowledge is as important as earning money and in itself is a very important factor in their professional success.

Throughout the past 15 years, performing across 9 countries, through hands-on experience, ups and downs and self discovery I have learnt how and what it really takes to become a successful singer.
I consider that it is important to now share this knowledge with you..

In an ideal world - you would step out into the street or find a spot outside a busy underground and begin singing... and within no time, moved by the beauty of your voice, passersby would begin to queue to fill your hat with coins & half folded pound notes. Promoters, managers, venue owners, agents, potential bookers, talent scouts etc. would approach, request your telephone number or card and offer you work and extensive tours worldwide.

In an ideal world - you would simply turn to other more experienced singers or musicians and ask for truthful guidance and advice on how you can begin to do what they have been doing for so long. For some it would appear to be a closely guarded secret, for others…well it’s a tough and highly competitive arena.

I know and understand the frustration which comes with having a dream of reaching somewhere but being at a loss as to how to get there. Of having the talent but lacking the confidence and self belief to move forward.
Of being in that 'catch 22' situation where as an aspiring singer with little or no live experience to speak of – ‘You have difficulty getting gigs because you don’t have experience but you can’t get the experience because no one will offer you gigs’.

Prior to my 'So You Wannabe a Singer: How to Begin' Ebook being published, you had to learn the tricks of the trade by yourself and by trial and error. Some do succeed…many give up…often because they can not find the answers they seek or their way in.

While there is a wealth of information for singers out there it largely focuses on how to make it in the Music Industry. This is way up the ladder!
Very little explains how to step on to the first rung. ie. where to go, what to do or how to prepare yourself to do it once you decide that you are ready to go out there and step up to the mic.

Having a great voice is not enough.

NONE of your favourite singers made it overnight - none of them. (You'll find very interesting information about this in the Ebook by the way).
Each artist has had many years of learning behind them ie. how to sing live, how to perform, how to build his/her image etc... they all began where you are about to begin. Whoever thinks there's an easy road to success or an easy way to make a living should think twice.
The reward can be immense, but without hard work there will be none.
