A Little about the Author..
 

For over 15 years and with more than 1500 gigs to her credit, Val Kelly has been making a living as a singer.

As a front woman in a number of Original (pop/rock, world & Alternative music), Jazz and Covers (soul/ funk/ dance/ disco/ pop) bands, she has toured and worked alongside singers and musicians from across the globe. Many, having performed with household names such as Paul Weller, Katie Melua, Diana Ross,Tina, Alexander O'Neal, Kylie, Annie Lennox, Van Morrison, Take That, Herbie Hancock…are now recording artists
in their own right.
 

As an Artist she has toured throughout the UK & Europe, S.E. Asia, the Middle East, Africa & the Persian Gulf. Appearances range from Jazz, pop & world music festivals, regular broadcasts on SKY TV, corporate & private functions including graduation balls & fashion shows to beach parties on the French Riviera, nightclubs in S.E Asia, restaurants on top of 3000m ski slopes, English Stately Homes (backdrops for major films such as Brideshead Revisited, Gosforth Park), luxurious 5 Star hotels, the University & Military circuits, sailing to NY on the QE II to Charity events incl. the Prince’s Trust…

Her band has Supported International artists incl: jazz legends Dame Cleo Lane & Johnny Dankworth, US star Rita Coolidge & Nat Myria (Thai popstar) and entertained partying celebs incl. Jamiroquai, Mick Hucknall, Tessa Sanderson, Julien Lennon & Godfather of ‘Funk & Soul’ - the legendary James Brown.

As a Singer/Songwriter and regular performer on the London showcase circuit, Val is currently working on her latest album.
